CLIENT: Hill Country Youth Ranch

Established in 1977, Hill Country Youth Ranch is a non-profit charitable corporation that provides long-term therapeutic care for abused and orphaned children at all levels of trauma and need. Donations help support a variety of programs and services for children and their families.
In 2017, HCYR planned to purchase a digital fundraising tool for the very first time. To improve constituent relationship management (CRM) and power a new email marketing program, their vendor also advised they acquire Salesforce and MailChimp. To move forward with their purchases, HCYR needed a reliable partner to migrate their homegrown database to Salesforce, set up MailChimp with branded email templates, integrate their fundraising system, and provide consistent training and user support.
This is where Tackle comes in.
HCYR’s chosen vendor recommended Tackle as their go-to implementation team. This existing relationship enabled a seamless hand-off. With extensive knowledge of the systems involved, we navigated the bumpy terrain of database migration and integrations. Once initial training was complete, the new systems were ready to go live.
For the first three months after launch, HCYR signed onto a monthly support + management subscription with Tackle, through which we continued to provide training to empower new users and to support daily operations. In month four, we shifted to support-only model, and provided consultation and help-desk style user support as needed.

Hill Country Youth Ranch is now able to launch direct mail and digital fundraising campaigns. Their first new campaign smashed fundraising records. Our partnership allowed HCYR to take this enormous step forward without dropping the ball on day to day operations.
