Our ideal candidate has generated technical services leads through multiple communications channels, closed deals, and stewarded accounts with nonprofit organizations. This position will focus on selling our new service offering, Help Desk, and expanding our clientele. You will focus on generating leads, onboarding new clients and stewarding accounts, while recommending sales strategies and channels. Read more about Help Desk at www.tackle.consulting/helpdesk
You can expect the following responsibilities and to need the following skills:
*Identify long-term goals and business opportunities
*Build key customer relationships
*Negotiate and close business deals
*Collaborate with internal team, marketing staff and consultants to prepare materials and proposals
*It’s important you have experience and a willingness to use automated sales-marketing platforms through any combination of channels, including email, phone, social, events, etc.
*Due to and during the pandemic, travel will be kept to a minimum, and you will focus on remote outreach.
*You can expect to collaborate with marketing staff to help strategize, materials such as case studies, service descriptions, blog posts and podcasts.
*A strong handle on technical terminology and projects will improve external (client) and internal (services team) communication.
*Every current staff member at Tackle has been employed at one or multiple nonprofits. The same type of experience is preferred but not required for this position. Experience generating leads and making sales to nonprofits is required.
This will be our first dedicated sales position, and we are open to candidates that fit multiple profiles, including those with junior or mid-level experience and those with senior experience interested in defining and developing a sales practice.
We are searching for candidates excited about taking on the details and tasks of day-to-day sales outreach, while expanding their impact over time with contributions to strategies and team development.
We expect this to be a full-time employment position, but we will also consider candidates interested in part-time employment.
MINIMUM CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience generating leads and closing deals with nonprofit clients
- Experience selling technology-related services to nonprofits
- Familiarity with setting up and using marketing automation platforms
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR SENIOR CANDIDATES
- 2+ years of experience building and managing sales strategies and teams
- Experience selling marketing and/or technology consulting services to nonprofits
- Experience selling to a broad range of nonprofits with revenue from $1M to over $100M
Applicants can be located anywhere in the United States, but must be available during weekday hours with flexible availability for clients across time zones as needed, 9:00a Eastern to 5:00p Pacific.
Because our team is small, scaling services capacity (staff and contractors) will be an important consideration as we increase sales. Your first year will likely reflect a smaller overall sales goal with an increased focus on bonuses for varied metrics related to lead generation and new client acquisition. Subsequent years will likely see a higher overall sales goal with a mix of bonuses for metrics and commission related to account lifespan.Apply here
